March 19 from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. in the Collaboratory.

Please join Andrea Godfread-Brown and Brian Gerling on
solving regulatory and transactional issues related to the challenges facing
emerging and mature technology companies especially in the context of
international students.

Andrea has built her career around the practice of
employment-based immigration law, including seven years in-house at Syracuse
University where she handled all employer-sponsored petitions for non-immigrant
and immigrant visas. Since entering private practice 10 years ago, Andrea
has developed a specialty practice in health care-related immigration. She
represents hospitals and medical practice groups when they hire foreign-trained
nurses, physicians, physician assistants and any other allied health
professionals.

Andrea regularly handles J waivers, H-1Bs, O-1s and EB
Permanent Resident petitions for many industries. She also handles
employment-based green card work for her health care, IT consulting, and
engineering firm clients. In the past 10 years, she has also assisted small and
start-up tech and engineering companies sponsor employees for H-1B and
EB-1/EB-2 green cards.

Brian’s practice focuses on the areas of intellectual
property, corporate transactions, and economic development. Having a
passion for aviation, he is principally engaged in the billion-dollar unmanned
aerial vehicle marketplace, and serves as the outside General Counsel to one
the leading UAV research and development companies in the sector.

Brian also represents a variety of technology clients in the
environmental solutions, medical, beverage, and plastics industries regarding
intellectual property matters, business strategies, and, if necessary,
litigation. He also regularly advises manufacturing companies related to
corporate transactions and intellectual property protection and
preservation.
