Career Services for Alumni

Together, we make up the Power of Orange!

The Office of Career Services encourages alumni to stay connected by working with current students and new graduates. If you have been considering getting involved, please contact us to find the programming or networking opportunities to engage you with the Syracuse Law community.

If you would like to participate in employer programming and hiring, it only takes one call to 315-443-1941 or an email to lawcareer@syr.edu. Please also feel free to contact any of the counselors directly.

Understanding that careers are often not straight paths, the Office of Career Services also assists the Office of Advancement and External Affairs in working with alumni looking to make a change in their careers. Counselors in the Office of Career Services will review resumes and cover letters and provide guidance to alumni regarding career exploration resources and networking opportunities.

  • 12Twenty CSM – All Syracuse alumni have access to the College’s career service management system-12Twenty-in order to apply for jobs and to access information on a variety of areas including: electronic job postings, announcements regarding career events, resources including the Job Search Guide, and Vault. 12Twenty has replaced our former Symplicity System.*NOTE: If you graduated prior to 2011, or your email address is not in the 12twenty system, you must create complete a 12twenty Registration Form. Once your registration has been submitted, you will receive an e-mail confirming your submission. Career Services will then approve your registration within 3-5 business days.
  • Main Campus Support: Syracuse University Alumni Association – Lifelong career support is one of the major benefits of being a Syracuse University graduate. Whether you’re seeking career assistance, looking to connect with current students or fellow alumni, or want to #HireOrange and give back to others, a variety of resources is available to you. As a graduate of Syracuse University, you also have access to various job search resources and partnerships.

The College of Law has reciprocity agreements with many law schools which allow alumni to use the career resources at other law schools during the job search process.
