Emily Brown Joins College of Law Faculty as Legal Writing Professor
Emily Brown L’09 has joined the faculty of the College of Law as Legal Writing Professor. Professor Brown teaches legal writing, research and analysis to first-year law students.
Most recently, Professor Brown was a labor relations specialist at the Cayuga – Onondaga Board of Cooperative Educational Services. Previously she was a litigation associate at Bond, Schoeneck & King. In these roles, she represented individuals, non-profit organizations, and corporations during all stages of civil litigation and served as chief negotiator for collective bargaining agreements. Professor Brown also served as a judicial intern for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York.
Before attending law school, Professor Brown worked in politics and government, managing political campaigns for state and federal offices and served as a government staffer for state and local elected officials.
Brown holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from the Syracuse University College of Law.
