Cheryl Pinarchick L'95

Cheryl Pinarchick received her B.A., magna cum laude, from Temple University in 1990 and J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law in 1995. While at the College of Law, she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and finalist in the Lionel O. Grossman Trial Advocacy Competition.  She was the recipient of the College of Law’s George & Evelyn Marcus Award, an award presented to the graduate who has best demonstrated the qualities of good judgment, ambition, understanding, compassion and an appreciation of learning. In addition, Ms. Pinarchick was a Legal Research and Writing teaching assistant for Professor Christian Day.

Ms. Pinarchick is a shareholder of Murphy & King, P.C., where she specializes in the resolution of complex business disputes, with a particular emphasis on employment law.  She routinely counsels both domestic and foreign companies on best practices under United States employment law.  Her clients include privately and publicly held companies, financial institutions and professional firms as well as individuals.  Ms. Pinarchick also has extensive trial experience in state and federal courts throughout the United States.  Prior to joining Murphy & King, Ms. Pinarchick was a litigation partner with Brown Rudnick LLP.

A member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the American Bar Association, Ms. Pinarchick was a 2012 Honoree of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Top Women of Law. She received the M. Robert Dushman Pro Bono Award in 2011 and was recognized by the Massachusetts Supreme Court Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services for providing pro bono services to persons detained or affected by the New Bedford, Massachusetts immigration enforcement action on March 6, 2007.  Ms. Pinarchick was also elected a member of Boston’s Future Leaders Program in 2006 and was named to the Massachusetts Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers® in 2005. 

Ms. Pinarchick was a member of Temple University’s 1988 Undefeated National Championship Women’s Lacrosse Team which was inducted into the Temple University Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012.  She is also a Trustee of the Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center, a non-profit organization that provides outdoor adventure and experiential learning programs for students. 

Ms. Pinarchick is admitted in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey as well as in the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals, First Circuit.
