Ann has been a full-time staff member of the College of Law since 2006, when she became the Externship Coordinator, a position dedicated to managing the Externship Program and teaching the Externship Seminar, as part of the Office of Clinical Legal Education. She has been involved with the Externship Program since 2004 as an Adjunct Faculty member teaching the Externship Seminar. She has also taught “Law 101: Fundamentals of Law” at Monroe Community College and “Evidence” at SUNY at Buffalo Law School.
Prior to joining the College of Law full time, Ann was a Rochester City Court Judge for 20 years. She was the first woman to be elected to that post, and prior to serving on the bench, Ann was a founding partner in Rochester’s first all-woman law firm. Before entering private practice, she was an Assistant Public Defender in Monroe County for three years.
Ann has presented a variety of papers and conferences throughout her career, both in New York State and internationally. Ann is also a Board Member for the Volunteer Legal Services Program in Rochester and a member of the Mentoring, Nominating and Membership Committees for the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys.
