Dean  Bell '70, G'72

Dean Bell has over 40 years of experience in the development of product and process technology. He has a B.S. in industrial and manufacturing engineering and M.S. in engineering administration from Syracuse University. Bell worked at Welch Allyn, Inc. from 1973 until 2014, where he was involved in all medical lamp applications. His technical work has made a significant contribution to clinical and analytical spectroscopy, endoscopy, colorimetry, commercial aircraft lighting, and portable law enforcement lighting. He has been awarded nine US patents and has three pending patent applications. He taught at Syracuse University as a graduate instructor in engineering during the 1970s. He also worked as an instructor and mentor at Welch Allyn from 1994 until he retired in 2014. Bell began working as an adjunct professor in the summer of 2014
