Professor Jason Hoge represented indigent defendants in the Wayne County Public Defender’s Office. Prior to that he was the Lead Attorney and Project Director (Re-Entry) in the Monroe County Legal Assistance Center where he investigated and litigated employment discrimination claims. He also conducted training on employment law for judges and other legal professionals. Upon graduation from law school he served as Legal Consultant on International Human Rights for the Burma lawyers’ Council in Thailand. This was followed by a stint at the Legal Aid Society of Mid-New York, in Binghamton. Finally he has had teaching experience, including as Visiting Lecturer, Burma Lawyers’ Council: Pyi-daung-Su Law Academy, Thailand. Mr. Hoge’s enthusiasm for providing the highest caliber legal representation and creativity in approaching the area of employment and civil rights law was recognized when he was awarded the NYSBA Denison Ray Award in 2008.
