Professor Kukla teaches Accounting for Lawyers. She practices law in Syracuse and the surrounding area. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Michigan. After attaining her undergraduate degree, she spent 10 years in the private sector as an auditor and accountant. To further her experience she attended Syracuse University and received her law degree in 1992. Prior to opening her private practice she was an Associate Attorney at the law firm of Scolaro, Shulman, Cohen, Lawler and Burstein in Syracuse.

Professor Kukla currently teaches graduate and undergraduate accounting courses at the Whitman School as well as legal studies courses. She is a Certified Public Accountant, Commonwealth of Virginia (1985). She is admitted to practice in New York and has served as Acting Village Justice for the Village of Baldwinsville.
