Jeffrey J. Gee is an attorney with the law firm of Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth, P.L.C., a Washington, DC area communications law firm. Mr. Gee represents media companies in regulatory and transactional matters. Mr. Gee advises individual broadcast stations, large group owners, cable system operators, and financial institutions on matters relating to communications law and policy, including technical operations, content restrictions, cable and satellite carriage obligations, and ownership restrictions. Mr. Gee also counsels media companies and financial institutions in the acquisition, financing, and disposition of broadcast and cable properties. Prior to joining Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth in 2005, Mr. Gee practiced with Dow, Lohnes & Albertson, PLLC in Washington, DC. Mr. Gee received his law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center. During law school, he interned with the United States Department of Justice and participated in the Domestic Violence Clinic, representing victims of domestic violence in the District of Columbia courts. Prior to law school, Mr. Gee interned with the British Broadcasting Corporation and NOP Social & Political Research in London. Mr. Gee is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications and the College of Arts & Sciences at Syracuse University, where received his B.A., cum laude, in Writing for Television, Radio and Film, Policy Studies, and Political Science. Mr. Gee is a member of the District of Columbia Bar, the Maryland State Bar, the Federal Communications Bar Associations, the American Bar Association, and the Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
