About the Moot Court Honor Society
The Moot Court Honor Society is comprised of 64 second and third year law students selected by demonstrating excellence in trial and appellate advocacy. The Society administers a variety of intermural activities and intercollegaite teams designed to sharpen the advocacy skills that are essential to a quality legal system. The Society organizes the Lionel O. Grossman Trial Competition (open to all third-year College of Law students) in the Fall semester and the MacKenzie-Lewis Appellate Advocacy Competition (open to all second-year and third-year College of Law students) in the Spring.

The Society also sponsors several intercollegiate teams, including: National Trial Team, National Appellate Team, International Phillip C. Jessup Team, Labor Law Appellate Team, Tax Appellate Team, Saul Lefkowitz Patent, Trademark and Unfair Competition Team, ATLA Trial Team, International Commercial Arbitration Team, and Tournament of Champions Trial Team among others.

Moot Court at the SU College of Law
The Syracuse University College of Law has one of the best Moot Court programs in the country. Since 1979, the SU College of Law has been the recipient of the New York State Bar Association's coveted Tiffany Cup eleven times. The cup is presented to the New York state law school that finishes with the best record in the National Trial Competition.

This success is the result of the strong commitment of the law school students and faculty, and the strong support of the Syracuse legal community. It is the ongoing teamwork of student commitment and community support that has created a nationally prominent Moot Court program at the Syracuse University College of Law.
