Prior to joining the legal writing faculty, Professor O’Malley was an associate with the law firm of Gilberti Stinziano Heintz & Smith P.C., where she focused her practice in corporate and real estate law.  Previously, Professor O'Malley practiced real estate and business transaction law with a small firm in Idaho.  She has served as a law clerk for the office of the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General (JAG) and interned with an U.S. Senator from Iowa in his Washington, D.C. office.  Professor O’Malley received her bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and her juris doctor from American University – Washington College of Law.
