Professor Rao has been a guest lecturer in General Counsel for a number of years.
He brings a wealth of corporate practice experience to his teaching. He began his career at Bond, Schoeneck & King, LLP as an associate engaged in all phases of commercial, insurance, and employment litigation in state and federal courts. In 1998 he began his in-house counsel career with Carrier Corporation. His initial position was as Attorney. He progressed up the ranks to Global Compliance Officer, Carrier World Headquarters. He is presently Assistant General Counsel, Building Systems and Services Division. Professor Rao is involved in community activities ranging from the Board of Directors of the Everson Museum of Art to Boy Scouts where he is an Assistant Scoutmaster for a troop in Marcellus.
