Timothy M. Meehan L'96

Timothy MeehanTIMOTHY M. MEEHAN received his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut in 1993, with a double-major in Political Science and History.  He then graduated from the Syracuse University College of Law, magna cum laude, in 1996.  While at the College of Law, Mr. Meehan was inducted into the Order of the Coif, the Justinian Honorary Law Society, and served as the Notes and Comments Editor of the Syracuse Law Review.

Mr. Meehan is the Deputy General Counsel, Director and Assistant Secretary of ING Financial Services LLC.  Since joining ING in July of 2000, Mr. Meehan has occupied roles of increasing and varied responsibility for the global financial institution.    Mr. Meehan provides counsel on corporate laws, securities laws, banking laws and on regulatory and compliance matters for ING's corporate and institutional finance operations in the Americas, with a focus on corporate finance, capital markets and structured finance transactions.   

Mr. Meehan was previously an Associate in the New York City office of Kelley, Drye & Warren.  As an Associate in the firm's Corporate Department, his practice encompassed a broad range of general corporate transactions, with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and securities law matters.
