Office of Professional & Career Development Staff
Below is a brief overview of the professionals in the Office of Professional & Career Development who work with over 600 students and 9,000 alumni at the College of Law on issues of professionalism, job search skills and networking.
Kim Wolf Price, Esq., Assistant Dean
Kim Wolf Price received a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University, and Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Wolf Price joined the New York City office of Clifford Chance as an associate where she gained experience in securities litigation, white collar criminal defense and numerous pro bono matters. Most recently, she was an associate with Gilberti, Stinziano, Heintz & Smith in Syracuse where she practiced civil litigation. While in attendance at the College of Law, Ms. Wolf Price was the Notes and Comments Editor of the Syracuse Law Review and an Associate Member of the Moot Court Honor Society. She was also inducted into both the Justinian Honor Society and Order of the Coif. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Wolf Price was the legislative coordinator for the New York Public Welfare Association and worked in communications for the New York State Assembly.
Ms. Wolf Price is admitted to practice in New York. Her professional affiliations include the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Onondaga County Bar Association, Central New York Women's Bar Association, the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Association for Legal Career Professionals (NALP). Ms. Wolf Price was recently honored as a member of the 2008 Class for Greater Syracuse's 40 Under 40 award.
Ms. Wolf Price serves as an adjunct professor at the College of Law, teaching a 3L seminar on bar examination skills. In addition, she serves on a number of committees, including the College of Law committee aimed at making institutional changes to increase the overall bar passage rate for first-time takers.

Kavitha Janardhan, Esq. Associate Director
Kavitha Janardhan received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Boston College Law School. During law school Ms. Janardhan was one of the founding members of the South Asian Law Students Association and was a staff writer for the Boston College Environmental Affairs Law Review. Following her graduation from law school, Ms. Janardhan joined the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw LLP, where she practiced commercial litigation in the areas of franchise and motor vehicle dealer law and consumer fraud class actions. Ms. Janardhan was also active in Seyfarth Shaw's pro bono program and served as a member of the firm's pro bono committee.
Ms. Janardhan is admitted to practice in Illinois and her professional associations include the American Bar Association, the Onondaga County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Central New York Women's Bar Association, the North American South Asian Bar Association, and the Association for Legal Career Professionals (NALP). Ms. Janardhan served on the board of the Indian American Bar Association of Chicago from 2008-2011.
In addition to counseling students and participating in professional and career development programming, Ms. Janardhan will serve as the primary office contact for students interested in judicial clerkships.

Samantha Z. Kasmarek, Esq., Associate Director
Samantha Zappia Kasmarek received her Bachelor of Arts from Le Moyne College, and Juris Doctor from Buffalo Law School. Ms. Kasmarek was the Executive Productions Editor of the Buffalo Intellectual Property Law Journal. During law school she worked for both Westlaw and BARBRI as a student representative. Following her graduation from law school, Ms. Kasmarek joined Hiscock & Barclay in Syracuse where she concentrated her practice in the area of litigation, with a focus on commercial litigation matters including torts, insurance and products liability issues.
Ms. Kasmarek is admitted to practice in New York and her professional affiliations include the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Onondaga County Bar Association, New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers and the Association for Legal Career Professionals (NALP). Currently, she is the Public Service Section Chair for NALP. Samantha previously served as the vice-chair of the publications section of the Public Service Section for NALP during the 2012-2013 academic year. She also currently serves on the Syracuse University Judicial Board.
Ms. Kasmarek continues to manage the Office's participation in the NYU Public Interest Legal Career Fair and the Equal Justice Works Job Fair and is the primary contact person for students interested in public interest law.

Elizabeth C. Jeffery, Assistant Director
Elizabeth C. Jeffery received her Associate of Applied Science from SUNY Canton and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts at Syracuse University. She has been with the Office since 1990. As Assistant Director, Ms. Jeffery's areas of expertise include overseeing the Fall Interview Program, planning programming and advising students on government opportunities including JAG.
Ms. Jeffery is a an active member of the Association for Legal Career Professionals (NALP). Ms. Jeffery was elected as NALP's Northeast Regional Coordinator for 2008-2009 and served on the national conference planning committee for the April 2009 education conference in Washington, DC. She currently serves as a member of the NALP Website Redesign Work Group and was the past chair of the NALP Technology Advisory Group. Ms. Jeffery also served as a presenter during the April 2011 education conference in Palm Desert, CA.
One of Ms. Jeffery's most critical roles is leading the Office's efforts in tracking the employment trends of our recent graduates. She is responsible for managing that process and compiling the critical numbers which we report to the ABA, US News & World Report, NALP, Vault and the Princeton Review. In addition, she manages the entire On- and Off-Campus Interview (OCI) Program for the College of Law. Ms. Jeffery also has responsibilities involving the general business operations of the Office and is a Notary Public for the State of New York.

Ann E. Maroney, Coordinator
Ann E. Maroney received her Bachelor of Science in Speech and Hearing from Elmira College. She has been a member of the Office since 2000. As the Professional Development Coordinator, Ms. Maroney assists with all functions of the office. Much of her attention during the fall months is focused on the On-Campus Interview Program. In addition, Ms. Maroney assists with and maintains information regarding job fairs, diversity initiatives and marketing efforts. She is knowledgeable about the resources in the office, office policies and preparation of application materials.
As the Office Coordinator, Ms. Maroney serves as liaison to other offices in the College of Law and assists with the planning aspects of all programming.

Erica L. Gromny, Assistant
Erica Gromny graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 2008 with a Bachelors of Science, magna cum laude, in Television, Radio & Film. Erica is a life-long resident of the Syracuse area and is the second generation in her family to graduate from and work at the University. Ms. Gromny joined the office in August 2010.
As the Office Assistant, Ms. Gromny greets visitors to the office, answers phones and schedules appointments. Ms. Gromny also researches and posts student and post-graduate job opportunities; creates programming publicity; proofreads and edits office publications; processes letters of reciprocity and assists with office projects. Ms. Gromny is also a Notary Public for the State of New York.
