Family Law - Child Support Clinic
The Family Law & Social Policy Center is currently looking for a few students to assist with a new Child Support Clinic at Legal Aid Society of Mid-NY (Syracuse office). The students will be assisting low-income parents with completing paperwork to be submitted to court regarding child support modifications, new orders, arrears, enforcement, etc. For students interested in pursuing a career in family law, this is an excellent opportunity to gain some hands-on experience and familiarity with child support laws. The positions are unpaid, but the volunteer time can be counted towards the pro bono recognition at graduation. No prior experience is necessary - training will be provided.
