Admitted Student Days

Admitted Student Days provide an opportunity for admitted students to experience Syracuse Law firsthand.

2018 Dates and Agenda

  • Thursday, March 8 - Friday, March 9
  • Thursday, April 12 - Friday, April 13

Each admitted student day program consists of a two day event. We hope that you can spend two days with us at Dineen Hall. In the event that you are only able to attend one day, we recommend attending the Friday session. 

Day 1 will run from approximately 12:30 PM - 5:00 PM (with an optional mixer in downtown Syracuse from 5-7:00 PM)

Day 2 will run from approximately 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. 

Admitted Student Days provide the opportunity to:

  • meet with current law students
  • attend a first-year law class
  • meet with career services and financial aid representatives
  • tour the new Syracuse Law facility, Dineen Hall
  • have lunch with law professors and students
  • research potential housing options in the Syracuse, NY area

If you are in town for Day 1, we welcome you to attend a mixer at Aster Pantry & Parlor in downtown Syracuse, NY. 

  • The mixer will take place from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the parlor room of Aster Pantry & Parlor
  • You will have the opportunity to connect with staff, current students, and local alumni
  • RSVP to this event on the Admitted Student Day RSVP form listed above

Directions and Parking Information:

  • Dineen Hall GPS Location: 950 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210
  • Irving Parking Garage: Conveniently located right next to Dineen Hall. Vehicles enter the garage from behind Dineen Hall (off Stadium Place Rd). 

Visitors who arrive in Syracuse by plane, bus, or train, will find taxi service convenient for the short drive to campus. Visitors who drive to campus and take the NY State Thruway east or west to Syracuse should exit at Interstate 81 and proceed south. Northbound and southbound travelers should also follow Interstate 81 to Syracuse.

From Interstate 81, exit at Adams Street and proceed up the Adams Street hill to the light at Irving Ave. Make a right on Irving and proceed to the end (the Carrier Dome will be on your left). At the end of Irving Ave. make a quick right on East Raynor and a quick right on Stadium Place. VIP parking will have been arranged for you in the Irving Garage.

Give your name to the attendant upon entering the garage. Locate parking on any of the five levels of the parking garage and exit on the first level (entry off Irving Ave.)

You will then take an immediate right out of the garage and enter the main entrance to Dineen Hall on your right hand side. Upon entering the building, you will enter the security gates and proceed to the First Floor Atrium for Admitted Student Day registration.

Travel Reimbursement Process

For those of you who live outside a 100-mile radius of Syracuse, NY and require travel assistance, we can provide a travel reimbursement of up to $125 per student/day you attend. Should you qualify and require assistance, please complete the action items listed below. 

1. Successfully RSVP for an admitted student day program

2. Mark "Yes" for travel reimbursement and list your city/state on the RSVP form

3. Print and complete the travel reimbursement form - present this to an Admission's staff member during your Admitted Student Day check-in. 

Please note: it can take up to four weeks to receive your reimbursement check in the mail from the date we receive your travel reimbursement form.
